Paralegal experience. DESCRIPTIONParalegal -- Intake Center and Response; Intake Paralegal for a large government agency. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for intake of, response to, and initial resolution of requests from members of the general public. Issues concerning the HIPAA statute and health information privacy will predominate, but subject matter may vary. Key competencies: customer service experience in all media, particularly by telephone; experience with medical records and privacy legal requirements pertaining to health information. Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Act of 1996 and ability to use this knowledge in performing tasking is desired.
